It has long been a rule of social etiquette to “Never discuss religion and politics in general company.” Well, maybe that has contributed to some of the breakdown in our society, because each side of most issues has been taught that they alone know the truth, and anyone proclaiming anything else is your enemy. We suggest that the time is now to show that we can discuss controversial subjects and maintain respect for those who disagree with us. And if anyone can demonstrate that, it will be all the Book Clubs that exist in America.
